The objective of this initiative is to document the biodiversity of Lebanon and create an [[NatLib:About#Why open-access?|open-access]] database of the [[:Category:Animalia|fauna]], [[:Category:Plantae|flora]] and [[:Category:Fungi|funga]] of the country, supporting research, education, and conservation efforts. Moreover, the project features a virtual museum showcasing [[:Category:Fossils|fossils]] from different taxa and geological ages discovered within the Lebanese territory.

Through this project and other activities, [https://lanca.org LANCA] works on raising awareness and promoting appreciation for our natural heritage.
