Erithacus rubecula is a small insectivorous passerine bird that belongs to the Old World flycatchers family.
Adults of this species are 12.5-14cm in length, with a wingspan of 20-22cm. Both males and females have the same plumage consisting of an orange breast, with a gray belly, and a brownish-gray back. Juveniles have brown feathers, spotted with white and orange dots.
This bird can be observed in gardens and in woodlands. Its diet mainly consists of invertebrates and fruits.
